The price of ICON is up over 60% in less than half a day. On Thursday morning it became known that Yoon Suk-yeol won the elections in South Korea. In a startup forum last December, Yoon created his signature in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) on the ICON blockchain. ICON's price rose from around $0.67 to $1.0771.

The conservative People's Power Party (PPP) candidate Yoon included political promises regarding cryptocurrencies in his campaign. Most recently, Yoon issued over 4,000 NFTs on the Aergo blockchain to promote his campaign in the final week of the election.

The price of Aergo also rose by about 5% shortly after Yoon's election victory was announced. However, at the time of writing, it has stopped at $0.23.
