HTC Is Not Behind: The Integration Of Decentraland Raised The Price Of MANA By 50%

27 February 2019 07:58, UTC

February was rich in news related to smartphones and blockchain. The hype around Samsung and its new Galaxy S10 are still hot, but HTC is not lagging behind either. The Taiwanese smartphone giant announced that it would start accepting fiat payments for the Exodus 1 blockchain-oriented model. HTC started the presales for Exodus 1 in October last year, but with the cryptocurrency payments only.

The device which has been designed to operate on a decentralized ‘web 3.0’ will be sold at $699. It will ship with the HTC Zion crypto wallet and comes with support for a number of dApps, including the virtual reality Ethereum powered platform Decentraland.

Against this news, the MANA token soared by 50%, and the trading volume of the coin increased from $2 mln to $40 mln for the last 24 hours, mainly on the Binance exchange. At the time of writing the news, the token is on a correction; its price is $ 0.048 per one.

The slogan of new HTC project goes like “We believe we can rebuild the Internet together by empowering the people to own their own identities, personal data, and assets,” it is way ahead of its competitors at Apple and Android which have a tight grip over user data and experience.
