HIVE Acquires 6400 Avalonminer 1246 Miners From Canaan

HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd (HIVE) has reached its previously announced 1000 PH/s ASIC throughput target for 2021 with the purchase of 6400 Canaan AvalonMiner 1246 next generation miners with a aggregate working hash power of 576 PH/s.
With the addition of 6,400 AvalonMiner 1246 miners, the aggregate operating hash rate of HIVE will increase to about 1.229 EH/s or 1229 PH/s by the end of 2021.
Based on the orders made, the new hardware is expected to be delivered in 8 tranches in 2021, with 500 miners delivered in May and June, and 900 miners delivered each month for the remainder of calendar 2021, starting in July.
