The number of cryptojacking cases increased by 163% in the second quarter of this year. Cybersecurity company Symantec has compiled a report highlighting that attacks have dropped earlier since the CoinHive browser was closed. However, the situation has worsened since the beginning of this year.

More recently, it was reported that since the beginning of the year, Mexico and other Latin American countries have repeatedly become victims of cryptojacking. Mexican companies using cloud services have complained that they are particularly vulnerable to such attacks.

A recent study found that nearly 90% of IT professionals believe such attacks can disable personal devices and more complex networks in company offices. However, few organizations are taking adequate security measures.
