Game Maker Atari Will Allow Gamers To Spend Tokens While Playing

One of the world's leading game makers, Atari, is gearing up to launch a new gaming computer and launch its own crypto token. The company plans to attract users from the crypto community by allowing gamers to spend Atari tokens while playing.

The Atari VCS is expected to be released in November. Gamers will be able to access over a hundred Atari arcade games, as well as classic and new ones. Gamers will be able to use Atari tokens to pay for products and goods in games. The token sale will begin on October 29 on the Bitcoin.com exchange. The company will place $1 mln worth of Atari tokens.

To date, nearly 12,000 users have pre-ordered the new Atari game console. The company launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform and raised over $3 mln. According to the CEO of Atari, the company intends to use the new "crypto strategy" in the long term and doesn't pursue extraordinary sales immediately.
