Ethereum unstable after Byzantium

18 October 2017 21:00, UTC

Gavin Wood, who works on the core of Ethereum blockchain, told the media that both individuals and organizations should better wait until the Ethereum network has regained complete stability.

The reason of current instability lies in the fact that almost half of ETH miners have not yet updated their software to the Byzantium-supporting version, and that the hard-fork, while it did not result in a new chain like it was with the SegWit protocol update in the Bitcoin environment, is still a hard-fork – or a global update affecting the vast structure many miners can’t even comprehend.

In other news about Ethereum, the currency itself slowly grows back during the past 12 hours. Technical analysts at ETHNews believe that it will continue further. Overall, the atmosphere of the news about this currency leads to believe that it has less chances to become unstable due to corporate and market arguments. A cryptocurrency divided against itself cannot stand, and Bitcoin community should learn a thing or two from the more calm Ethereum fanbase.
