Enjin and GameTalkTalk To Release Sustainable NFTs
Enjin, a developer of the non-fungible token ecosystem, is bringing sustainable NFTs to the largest social gaming platform in South Korea. Enjin will release NFT on the GameTalkTalk platform in partnership with the gaming social network Ludena Protocol. The social gaming app currently has three mln users.
From April 6th, GameTalkTalk users will be able to release NFTs using Enjin's environmentally friendly JumpNet scaling solution. This will be available in addition to NFT Efinity. 200,000 monthly active GameTalkTalk users will be able to release fashion and real estate NFTs to personalize avatars and homes.
Most NFTs are part of the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum uses 27 trln watts of energy per year, according to Enjin. This is due to the power required for Proof of Work, which is currently being used by Ethereum. In comparison, JumpNet only consumes 30 mln watts per year. This energy use is part of the company's five-step plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
