Emirates Airlines Intends To Introduce Bitcoin Payments

As part of its commitment to a faster and more flexible interaction with customers, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates intends to use advanced digital technologies such as blockchain, metaverse and cryptocurrency.
Emirates COO Adel Ahmed Al-Redha said during a visit to Arabian Travel Market that the airline intends to use bitcoin as a payment service while introducing non-fungible tokens, also known as NFT collectibles, on the company's websites for trading purposes.
Al-Redha also said at a media gathering that the Dubai-headquartered airline will hire new employees for the metaverse and NFT to develop applications to monitor customers needs.
