According to CTO of Ripple, the updated version of xCurrent will allow users to simplify the integration process, which was previously impossible on the platform. Customers will be able to access xRapid support, simpler peer-to-peer commute, and Multi-hop, in addition to other important new features.

David SCHWARTZ also added that the upgrade process will be a complicated one. Responding to user questions, he noted that the xCurrent 4.0 architecture is different, which requires significant changes in client middleware. Despite this, the community reacted quite positively to the news of the upcoming updates.
