Cryptocurrency Vibe jumps +400%

10 January 2018 21:00, UTC

The digital coin called Vibe is produced by Vibehub, the platform that allows to review and rate live music, similar to how IMDB does so with movies. It went largely unnoticed by the cryptocurrency community until yesterday, when it was added on Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, the servers of which are based in Korea and Japan, and the main office is located in Hong Kong.

The surge of this cryptocurrency has been a surprise for the community and has demonstrated how the situation can change for an altcoin just by the decision of one exchange to add it on listings. Binance is a respected cryptocurrency exchange mentioned even on Bloomberg, so this addition has greatly increased the reputation of Vibe. Charlie Shrem, BitInstant co-founder and cryptocurrency enthusiast, has also endorsed this altcoin.

As a result, the price of Vibe has become more expensive than Ripple, $2.34, while the market capitalization is, of course, still considerably lesser than that of XRP. Another factor that might affect the price of this currency in the future is the plans of the Vibehub team to use it as a means of payment for concert tickets.
