Cryptocurrency creates jobs

29 October 2017 21:00, UTC

According to the latest surveys, fintech and digital market jobs are currently growing in quantity. As the chief executive of Freelancer explained to CNBC, “people are getting freelancers to design new types of cryptocurrencies”. Matthew Barrie tells that his company analysts have seen an 82% jump in jobs and positions connected with digital currencies and Bitcoin.

Another notable example of the current market’s demand for fintech is the entertaining news about the British company with assets lately rising in price over 300%. How to do this? Turns out if you add “Blockchain” at the end of the company name, the investors will become much more interested. Bloomberg provides the stats:

Meanwhile in Russia, the outlet called Vedomosti reports that the word “blockchain” in the CV increases the interest from headhunters who offer much bigger wages than their counterparts from traditional software and marketing spheres. The same survey tells that one of the most popular Russian job platforms has had an increase of positions connected with blockchain and cryptocurrency, while last year, there were no offers for blockchain-related specialists. As Nicholas Davidov (co-founder of Gagarin Capital who works in Silicon Valley) previously stated, Russia has no real venture market and so, cryptocurrency market is even more attractive to the Russian investors.
