Financial conglomerate Credit Suisse participates in the tokenization of shares of the Swiss resort using the Ethereum blockchain. The bank works closely with the Swiss crypto trading platform Taurus to issue token shares of the extreme sports company Alaïa SA, which owns a hotel in the Alps.

The partnership will create tokenized shares in accordance with the Swiss CMTA standards. The law in Switzerland was updated in February 2021 so that tokenized securities can be traded with the same legal status as traditional assets.

The bank's next step will be to organize a private placement of the tokenized shares of Alaïa. In the first quarter of 2022, Alaïa shares will be admitted to trading on the Taurus Digital Exchange (TDX). Earlier this year, Taurus was licensed by the Swiss market regulator FINMA to launch a digital asset trading platform.
