Coinmarketcap Research: Growing Interest in the Crypto Market in the Q1 2020

CoinMarketCap published a report that highlights the trends in the crypto market, as well as the countries with the largest increase in the number of users in the first quarter of this year.

In addition to price trends and events related to the market crash on March 12, Coinmarketcap discovered two more interesting trends. One of them is the growth of female users on its website — it amounted to 43.24%. A quarterly growth of users among young people aged 18 to 24 years was recorded at 46.04%.

Moreover, the company named nine countries with the largest increase in the number of female users in the first quarter compared to the previous one. Greece is the leader with an increase of 163.67%, followed by Romania with 145.09%, Argentina with 98.23%, Portugal with 89.95%, Indonesia with 88.92%, Ukraine with 86.68%, Czech Republic with 85.6%, Colombia with 82.03% and Venezuela with 80.23%. The company also recorded a 41% increase in the number of users over 65 years old.

According to Alexa's ranking, Coinmarketcap website is currently the 569th in the world for site traffic and user engagement.
