Charlie Lee and Roger Ver agree to trade after many debates on SegWit2x

22 October 2017 21:00, UTC

Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, a cryptocurrency that was the third most expensive for a time being, has always strictly opposed SegWit2x – the hard-fork for Bitcoin structure. SegWit2x will increase blocks in the blockchain of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency that serves as a locomotive for all other ones, which explains why Charlie Lee cares about the rival currency. Another reason he recently told is that Litecoin doesn’t have such a drama over its development and with Bitcoin, it’s more interesting to follow the news and participate in discussions about it.

Roger Ver, on the other hand, supports SegWit2x, has seen supporting Bitcoin Cash and overall advocates more changes in the Bitcoin blockchain. He even stated that the new currency that will emerge after SegWit2x could become more valuable than Bitcoin. Mr. Ver is also one of the earliest cryptocurrency investors.

These two major figures have agreed to trade after  SegWit2x occurs to find out which currency is better. The agreement was made on the following terms: within two weeks of block 494,884 being found on the SegWit2x chain, Ben Davenport, Charlie Lee, Alex Morcos and Tuur Demeester will each send Roger Ver 250 SegWit2x bitcoins, and Roger Ver will send the aforementioned parties 250 Segwit1x (original) bitcoins. This deal will not happen if SegWit2x does not activate as intended. More information is available on Charlie Lee’s Twitter.
