Canaan Creative makes $46.6 million on mining hardware in 2017

The Chinese company called Canaan Creative has posted the sales of its mining devices throughout the past year, it has managed to get 1.2 billion yuan ($185.2 million), which makes the profit of $46.6 million, tells NewsBTC.

The representative of the company told the media that they expect to get 5 times more during this year, which is quite a bold prediction considering that the cryptocurrency market is always changing and what was relevant today can become irrelevant tomorrow, and mining hardware is not an exclusion here.

A danger posed by the Chinese government is mentioned by the reporters: indeed, the authorities in this country are making it more and more clear that they are not thrilled with miners consuming vast amounts of power. For Canaan Creative the possible mining prohibition means losing at least 80% of their customer base, which, of course, will make the corporate prediction about 5 billion yuan seem ridiculous in retrospective.

NVIDIA and ATI, meanwhile, do not admit they benefit from miners, but there are reasons to believe they were both pleased with this unexpected source of income the miners became in 2017.
