Buterin tells there is a way to avoid future disastrous Ethereum network overloads

01 November 2017 21:00, UTC

On a conference dedicated to the second most valuable cryptocurrency in the world, Vitalik Buterin predicted future problems with Ethereum nodes and its scalability. As he cynically stated, we have a graveyard of projects that claimed they solved this problem of network overloads due to increased demand.

Sharding, as Vitalik Buterin tells, will likely solve this problem, the basic essence of this concept is that the nodes in the network store only fragments of the blockchain data. And if some data is required by one node, it can take it from another. To amateurs this might sound incredibly similar to one of the main principles of P2P, but there is a reason to believe that Mr. Buterin would not call this a full comprehension.

The network will contain several “shards” with full Ethereum actual status, and there will be other shards or “universes”, as the famous coder called them in a speech. Apart from sharding, Mr. Buterin has provided his view on other Ethereum development prospects, although more generally.

Ethereum has a good future and will most likely remain in Coinmarketcap’s Top Three, as its creator, unlike Satoshi Nakamoto, does everything in his power to promote it and explain its positive sides.
