Bitcoin (BTC), the most popular cryptocurrency, for the first time since January 2018 climbed from $14,000 to over $15,000 in 24 hours.

BTC is currently trading at $15,456. The growth was 6% in 24 hours and 16% in a week, 40% in a month and 60% in a year. BTC now needs to rise by about 30% to hit the all-time high of $20,000 reached in December 2017. Meanwhile, other coins from the TOP-10 also showed an increase of 4-11% per day.

As long as BTC can stay above the breakout trendline, it has “significant technical room higher,” according to Northman Trader founder Sven HENRICH. Meanwhile, Mike McGlone, commodities strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, said that previous BTC resistance at roughly $10,000 could shift to $20,000 in 2021.
