Mobile World Congress is rich in events this year. The Brave Browser (based on Chrome, but is an open source one) has announced a partnership with TAP Network, a blockchain-based advertising and data platform.

The partnership marks an important milestone for the development of Brave and Basic Attention Token (BAT). It allows users to redeem the token at more than 250,000 partners of the TAP Network ecosystem in the nearest future. Users will be able to get rewards, which can later be changed for products and services. The system is aimed at improving the browser, its token and the cryptocurrency ecosystem as a whole.

The official blog of Brave Browser states that the partnership is unique, that “the first to integrate token utility redemption through the Brave browser as part of its global private ad platform.”

Amazon, Apple, Starbucks and Uber are among the partners of the TAP Network ecosystem, and the owners of Brave tokens can now operate with them. Users have the opportunity to exchange BAT tokens for gift cards of these and many other platforms. The next step in the partnership is to include mobile platforms by the end of 2019.
