Biostar introduces a new motherboard designed for miners

10 September 2017 21:00, UTC

Biostar, a Chinese hardware company, has developed a new motherboard, Biostar H110M-BTC, that might come in handy for miners. The Micro-ATX Card includes five PCIe x1 2.0 ports and one PCIe x16, which is not a much as ASUS B250 Mining Expert has (19 PCI-Express).

The motherboard supports 7th-generation Intel processors and up to 32 GB RAM (DDR4 standard, maximum supported frequency is 2400 MHz).

This hardware component is not as powerful and opportune as ASUS B250 Mining Expert, but it might be useful for beginners in mining and for those altcoin enthusiasts who do not intend to mine huge amounts of cryptocurrency.

Still, we have yet to see more miner-oriented motherboards and hardware, especially video chips, as currently many miners have to use the newest gaming video cards intended not for mining, but for high-level 3D rendering in the modern cinematic computer games.
