Baidu to develop a large blockchain network
The Chinese digital giant Baidu (the search platform similar to Google and provider of various online services) has announced its own blockchain structure aimed at the issues of energy consumption. This has been reported by business outlets citing Chinese press.
The “super chain” has been described by Xiao Wei (lead blockchain developer of Baidu) as a developer mechanism able to support 100,000 nodes at once. Moreover, the corporation plans to move some of its processes to this new environment. This all has been stated at a recent blockchain conference in China.
The influence of Baidu on the market is hard to miss: its search engine alone is the second biggest in the world. One can assume that the project would prove as successful in the future. The aforedescribed initiative remotely resembles Masterchain which is now being developed by the Russian banking organizations together with the financial supervision agencies. In both cases, the vast number of nodes is one of the distinct features of the project.
Chinese business is currently looking into the useful applications of blockchain technologies: two powerful entrepreneurs have recently agreed to work together in order to build a new platform similar to Uber.
