AMC May Create Its Native Cryptocurrency

During an October 20 interview with CNBC, AMC CEO Adam ARON discussed the firm's crypto ambitions. He also discussed the possibility of issuing its native AMC coin, stating that there are many reasons why AMC can be a successful cryptocurrency issuer.

AMC is very forward-thinking about digital assets. In August, the company said it intends to create an infrastructure to accept cryptocurrency payments for movie tickets by the end of this year. In September, the largest cinema chain expanded its crypto payment options to include Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Issuing tokens for US listed companies can be a daunting task due to the ever-growing regulatory hurdles that need to be overcome. Social media giant Facebook is learning this the hard way as pressure from authorities over its plans to issue cryptocurrency continues to grow.
