According to a SiliconAngle report released on April 18, AirAsia Group's Teleport logistics arm launched the digital network Freightchain. The blockchain network will help the company speed up and simplify the process of confirming and tracking air cargo.

Using Freightchain, shippers and forwarders will now be able to book and confirm any of 247 AirAsia aircraft to transport goods without the need for interaction with intermediaries. It is reported that Freightchain tracks requests, sales, and automatically identifies linked networks for cargo delivery.

By digitizing all freight records and placing them on the blockchain, Freightchain will simplify the work of participants in the trading process, as they can easily find out where the goods will be placed and where they will go. In addition, Freightchain helps connect global freight companies with no agency fees. Digital interaction in the blockchain network will allow efficient use of cargo space.
