Vasant Prabhu, VISA CFO: I bet every crook in the world uses Bitcoin

The chief financial expert of VISA might have decided to make a verbal intervention on the cryptocurrency market by telling that Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies too) was an instrument of shady politicians and crooks.

The president of VISA has already talked about cryptocurrency. While not making blatant remarks about crooks, he stressed that the company would not work with Bitcoin in the future.

The statement comes amidst the downfall of Bitcoin, although this bearish trend has seemingly paused for now. After reaching $7000, the most popular cryptocurrency has returned to $8,221.26 at the press time. It’s too early to jump to conclusions about the end of the bearish sentiment - or one risks to repeat the mistake Nouriel ‘Dr Doom’ Roubini has already made a month ago.

As once noted by Bitnewstoday, the sum daily circulating in the network of Bitcoin equals the budget of a Hollywood blockbuster, while during the same amount of time VISA operates with the equivalent of NASA’s annual budget. The data for this comparison has been provided by one of the reports of Morgan Stanley made last year.
