NYSE owner: we can’t ignore people trusting Satoshi Nakamoto more than Fed

The representative of the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange Inc., has recently expressed support for innovations when asked about possible Bitcoin futures on one of the company’s platforms. Jeffrey Sprecher has answered the press inquiries by telling:

“I don’t know. There is a trend we can’t ignore in my mind, so I don’t discount it. People put more faith in a guy named Satoshi Nakamoto that no one has ever met than they do in the U.S. Fed.

People are more comfortable in technology than the institutions of government and society that I grew up with.”

This largely contradicts the opinion of other business persons of the same level. For example, Michael Bloomberg does not think that Bitcoin would last long. Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs CEO who is likely to step down sooner this year, also doesn’t trust Bitcoin the way the younger generation does. Reginald M. Browne, expert on the issue of ETFs, excludes the scenario of Bitcoin ETFs in any near future.

Jeffrey Sprecher, as it seems, does not exclude the addition of Bitcoin futures on one of the platforms owned by Intercontinental Exchange Inc. While it may not necessarily be the NYSE, the move will still affect the market of cryptocurrencies.
