New rumor: Telegram wants to attract more investment amidst TON development

Four unspecified sources of The Verge tell about the new digital investment incentive coming from the creators of Telegram. Reportedly, an e-mail message has been disseminated in which the company tells about this.

No confirmation or rejection of this has ever come from Telegram, while usually it quickly responds about scams which use its brand. This might indicate that these rumors are at least partly true.

As it has to be reminded here, Telegram is interesting for a cryptocurrency observer because of its plans to launch a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency/token called Gram. The company lead by Pavel Durov has already held a pre-ICO event in which 81 wealthy investors have participated, including influential figures of the Russian market. The main product of Telegram is the eponymous messenger which claims it allows to communicate without any 3rd parties monitoring the dialog. However, some governments have repeatedly used the fact that terrorists also use this messenger, to which Telegram has always responded that the company employees try to find and ban them as fast as they can.
