Aragon, Dether, Mithril, Storj now supported on Bitfinex

25 April 2018 21:00, UTC

Several new digital tokens have been added into the listings of Bitfinex, a major crypto exchange. This happened today, and the official Twitter of the financial organization directly confirms this.

Aragon (ANT) has grown by 14% since the announcement, and so did Dether (DTH), Mithril (MITH) and Storj (STORJ) - plus 33.37%, 51.23% and 14.69%, respectively. This not only illustrates the well-known law of market once again (when a coin is added to a big exchange, its price considerably grows), but it also shows how dangerous insider trading can be - if the information about the addition of Mithril was to leak in advance, someone could have made considerable profits. All four digital tokens are based on Ethereum.

While the addition has driven up the price of the four tokens, it may fall down later due to the situational nature of the price motion. Note that at least one of the tokens, Mithril, is based on the ERC20 standard the smart contracts of which have lately proven to be less secure than everybody assumed.

Dether sounds incredibly similar to Decred, but these two digital assets are different: the latter is not based on Ethereum and it is the first ever digital currency to be used in an atomic swap (converted to Litecoin without any third parties purely with the means offered by blockchain technologies).
