USDT0 froze about 6.19 million USDT0 on Polygon that its co-founder linked to the Binance exploit, while restoring its $USDT transfer routes between Tron and Ethereum after a precautionary pause.

Polygon records show 6,185,900.1 USDT0 moving from a wallet labeled “Binance 48” to the recipient at 7:05:55 p.m. ET on Oct. 29. A second transaction blocked that recipient at 7:25:39 p.m. ET, roughly 20 minutes later.

USDT0 is a network for moving Tether assets across blockchains. Its co-founder, who posts as Zerolore, said multisig signers mobilized to freeze the Polygon funds before the attacker could exchange them for assets that cannot be frozen.

The action was an address-level block in the Polygon USDT0 token contract. USDT0’s documentation says blocked addresses cannot send tokens. The wallet still held the tokens when checked.

Tron–Ethereum Transfers Restored

The separate route pause interrupted users’ ability to move $USDT through USDT0 between Tron and Ethereum. The network announced the pause at 5:27 p.m. ET on Oct. 29 and announced restoration at 9 p.m. ET that day.

“Transfers between Ethereum and TRON are now back up and running,” USDT0 said in the reopening notice, adding that its infrastructure remained unaffected and secure.

Zerolore said the team reopened the routes once Tether’s larger freeze reduced the risk of stolen $USDT moving through them. That issuer action was distinct from USDT0’s Polygon block: Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said the company had frozen more than 1.567 billion $USDT related to the Binance incident.

As The Defiant previously reported, exchanging $USDT for native coins such as ETH or TRX moves those assets beyond Tether’s token-freezing mechanism.

Zerolore said heightened monitoring remained in place and could still cause temporary delays to cross-chain transactions.
