An Altcoin Suffers a Hack: Its Price Dropped to Nearly Zero Today

Blockchain security company PeckShield has revealed that an attacker is linked to a series of attacks targeting the Fetch.ai, NuNet, and SingularityNET projects. According to shared data, the attacker caused approximately $2 million in damage to Fetch.ai and NuNet, while also enabling the unauthorized minting of hundreds of millions of tokens on SingularityNET.

According to PeckShield data, 8.7 million FET tokens, worth approximately $1.53 million, were seized in the Fetch.ai attack. On the NuNet side, it was reported that the attacker illegally minted 408.5 million NTX tokens, worth approximately $462,000.

Following these developments, NuNet’s NTX token experienced a sharp drop of approximately 65%. It was reported that the attacker converted a portion of the assets obtained from the Fetch.ai and NuNet attacks into $ETH, and so far acquired approximately 546.36 $ETH, worth about $1.44 million.

PeckShield also revealed that the same address was linked to the SingularityNET attack. According to them, the attacker illegally minted 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTX on the Ethereum network.

According to the latest data shared by the security company, the attacker holds approximately $16.77 million worth of crypto assets. The largest portion of the portfolio consists of 198.3 million AGIX, worth approximately $14.42 million, while the attacker also holds 649 $ETH, worth approximately $1.67 million, and 33.538 million WMTX, worth approximately $627,000.

Following the attacks, SingularityNET’s AGIX token experienced a sharp decline in value, exceeding 99% in the last 24 hours.
