"Unexpected wallet requests deserve caution. Read every permission before signing," Shibburn wrote in an X post. The reminder highlights a broader security issue facing crypto users: a transaction that appears routine might grant a decentralized application permissions that users may not fully understand.

In a separate X post, also addressing wallet security, Shibburn warns $SHIB users never to share a seed phrase or private key, as legitimate support teams will not ask for either.
2,604,774 $SHIB Burned
According to the Shibburn website, a total of 2,604,774 $SHIB has been burned in the last 24 hours; however, the daily burn rate fell 8.74%.
This was less than the day before, when 3.93 million $SHIB tokens were burned, causing a small dip in the burn rate. The over two million $SHIB tokens burned in the last 24 hours added to a cumulative total of 48.52 million burned in the last seven days.
In the last 30 days, 3.35 billion $SHIB were burned, with the burn rate dropping 76.71% in this timeframe. A total of 410,843,714,716,903 $SHIB has been burned in 21,530 transactions, according to the Shibburn website.
At the time of writing, $SHIB was up 0.21% in the last 24 hours and down 7.63% weekly as investors weighed a key inflation reading on Wednesday, which showed prices moderating across a range of goods and services, possibly taking the urgency out of an imminent interest rate cut.
