The unnamed company ranks among the seven most profitable businesses in the industry, according to the investigator’s statement. Analysts have speculated that the target could be a well-established crypto company or exchange.

ZachXBT has been recognized for uncovering crypto scams, fraud, and other misconduct by analyzing blockchain transactions and open-source information.

He rose to prominence through social media investigations into scam operations, hacking incidents, and various forms of crypto-related fraud.

One of his recent investigations covered a case where a victim lost over $282 million in Bitcoin and Litecoin to a social engineering scam, with the stolen funds quickly transferred across multiple networks, including Monero and cross-chain bridges, which helped shed light on a surge in XMR prices.
