As cryptocurrency scams and misinformations increase daily, it becomes imperative for investors and crypto enthusiasts to be cautious about platforms with which they deal.
In recent times, the Ripple public image has suffered huge defamation in the hands of scammers who impost as ripple officials on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and some other social platforms, carting away with unsuspecting people’s earnings.
These scammers achieve perform this henious acts by advertising some form of giveaway promotions to catch people’s attention, who in return deposit their money hoping to earn large returns guaranteed by the platform.
The opposite becomes the case as they receive nothing; this scam has seen many people lose thousands of funds in XRP and other cryptocurrencies.
In an attempt to help people stay safe and safeguard their funds, XRP-oriented forensic platform Xrplorer revealed two phishing domains, disguising as official Ripple or XRP platform.
The domains as stated on xrplorer official twitter page are: Xrpup\.info and ripple\.com\.co, both domains belong to the scammers who entices people with nonexisting giveaways to rip them off their hardearned funds.

Lovers and crypto investors are therefore enjoined to beware of such domains as they are being actively promoted on twitter and other similar platforms.
In an attempt to curb the lasting fraudulent act, Ripple CTO David Schwartz filed a suit against the popular video streaming platform YouTube; for incompetency in monitoring its platform, which is giving rooms to scammers to scam people while they disguise as Ripple officials.
Things to Look Out for
Users are enjoined to remain observant enough before clicking on any link. Scammers out there are fond of creating sites that are almost identical to the original. Phishing domains sometimes have something added to the real domain name, for example, the reported domain by xrplorer has \.co added to ripple\.com.
Also, always watch out for redirecting links as they are used by scammers to redirect people from different platforms to their prepared websites.
More importantly, be mindful of unrealistic giveaways, some could ask you to drop some small amount of fund to earn a 200% bonus or more.
