In a recent attack, Atomic Wallet lost $35 million from less than 1% of its monthly active users. The company is now working with blockchain investigators to track and recover the stolen funds. However, scam Twitter accounts impersonating Atomic Wallet have emerged, sharing phishing links to exploit the situation. Meanwhile, on-chain researcher ZachXBT claimed to have helped a victim recover $1 million, with details to be shared later. Despite Atomic Wallet's statement, some users continue to report losses, and the community criticized the company's attempt to downplay the damage. Notably, the largest individual loss in the hack was $7.95 million in Tether on the Tron blockchain. Furthermore, pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton's mobile phone was hacked, and his Twitter account was used to promote LAW tokens, leading to warnings against investing in the cryptocurrency.
