Messaging app Telegram denies any risk to users following the discovery of a security exploit that could allow attackers to control the camera on macOS devices. The exploit, flagged by software engineer Dan Revah, involves injecting a dynamic library into the system, granting access to the camera and bypassing terminal sandbox restrictions. Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn stated that users are not at risk by default and that the exploit highlights Apple's permission security. Telegram has made changes approved by the Apple App Store, and users who downloaded the app from the Telegram website are not affected. Apple has not yet provided an official comment on the exploit.
