The developers said on Monday that Asia's most popular crypto wallet, BitKeep, which is said to have over six million users, was hacked to obtain various tokens worth about $8 million.

The malware download allegedly allowed the attackers to withdraw about 4,300 BNB, 5.4 million USDT, 196,000 DAI, and 1,200 Ethereum. The wallet has also suspended its services to make sure there are no other security issues.

The BitKeep team stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway. If it turns out that the loss of funds was the fault of the platform, then BitKeep promises to fully compensate for the losses of users. The developers warn that users of the BitKeep 7.2.9 APK version should withdraw funds from these wallets as soon as possible.
