Canadian electric car manufacturer Daymak Inc. has announced that its upcoming Spiritus electric car, the fifth model in the Avvenire series, will be a comprehensive cryptocurrency infrastructure.
According to a press release published today, every Spiritus series which is scheduled for launch in 2023 will have the capability to help users mine different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) and popular meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE).
The vehicles’ miners will be powered by solar energy using its Nebula infrastructure to ensure the activity is environmentally friendly.
Aside from the Nebula mining infrastructure, Daymak Spiritus will be equipped with its own crypto storage dubbed the Nebula Wallet, which provides a platform where miners can store their rewards.
Commenting on the development, Aldo Baiocchi, President of Daymak, said in the announcement:
“[While] most vehicles are depreciating as they park in your garage, the Nebula Miner will make you money while your Spiritus is parked. The potential applications are limitless.”
Daymak to Create More Crypto Opportunities for Users
Baiocchi added that the firm is committed to meeting customers’ demands and is looking at ways to ease users’ general wellbeing via the use of crypto.
Part of Daymak’s vision includes enabling its customers to make payments for everyday activities like highway tolls and parking fees using cryptocurrencies.
Daymak’s president noted that the firm also envisions the possibility of its users making other online payments with crypto in the near future.
As part of its support for cryptocurrencies and to crowdfund for the project, Daymak stated that customers can pre-order the Spiritus vehicles using different forms of crypto payments, such as BTC, DOGE, Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA).
The Canadian firm has set a target of reaching 50,000 pre-orders before July 23, 2021, and has so far recorded over $350 million in pre-orders in less than 60 days since the opening was made.
Upcoming Spiritus Vehicles
There will be two models for the Spiritus electric vehicle – Deluxe and Ultimate. The Deluxe Edition is priced at $19,995 and is equipped with a 36kWh battery with a total range of 180 miles.
On the other hand, the Ultimate series is being pre-ordered at $149,000, which comes with an 80kWh battery, 300 miles of range, carbon fiber tub among other amazing specs. Notably, every Spiritus edition will be a node on the blockchain.
