The SPACEVERSE metaverse will provide an extended-reality training, testing, and operations environment to the US Air Force.
The United States Air Force has filed a trademark application for a metaverse dubbed SPACEVERSE. According to Mike Kondoudis, a USPTO licensed trademark attorney, the metaverse trademark application was filed on April 14, 2022. The United States Army seeks to modernize its tactics, given the evolving nature of combat in different parts of the world. Moreover, geopolitical tensions between global military superpowers have escalated with the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Consequently, the adoption of metaverse to enable training and testing of modern weapons by the US military is by no means a surprise to many.
Remember, defense lies in invincibility and that is why the US is keen to adopt an invincible way of training. Moreover, they will have more training grounds on the SPACEVERSE that is entirely under their control.
A unique feature of Metaverse that allows control of digital property through access.
The US Air Force SPACEVERSE and the Metaverse Market
Training of fighter pilots, boots on the ground, and related engineers take long, sometimes years to perfect. By venturing into the Metaverse market, the US Air Force is poised to save lots of money from the taxpayers. Moreover, few resources will be used to simulate for Air Force trainees in the future.
Speculations on which blockchain ecosystem the US Air Force will deploy continue on different social media platforms. Nevertheless, the likelihood of the US Air Force developing its own blockchain is high.
Mind you, the United is keen to keep its fighting skills secret, especially when it comes to technology.
Nonetheless, the adoption of blockchain technology by the United States Air Force is a major milestone for the industry. Additionally, the metaverse is expected to explode in the coming years as more institutional investors proliferate.
Facebook changed its name to Meta as it puts more focus on the metaverse market.
Notably, the metaverse ecosystem comprises the hardware industry and the software industry. The hardware industry creates wearable devices to enable meta users to access the digital world.
The software industry focuses on developing interactive digital worlds.
The United States government has stepped in on a high note to regulate the booming crypto and blockchain technology. Remember the Biden administration signed crypto executive orders to enable the healthy adoption of blockchain technology.
As such, you can expect more US agencies to adopt blockchain technology, and perhaps most will happen before the next presidential election. Furthermore, Cathie Woods recently noted that politicians are looking into crypto as a way to win votes.
