SK Telecom Company, situated in South Korea, has inked a deal with three separate IT businesses in Southeast Asia to further its metaverse market plans in the territory. The company formed strategic collaborations with CelcomDigi Berhad of Malaysia, Agate of Indonesia, and Philippines-based Cosmic Technologies. This is to form a coalition with regards to its metaverse platform, ifland.
CelcomDigi is known to be a leader in telecommunications and is based in Malaysia. Agate is involved in gaming development and publishing in Indonesia. Cosmic Technologies is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform provider and products delivering organization in the Philippines. SK Telecom firmly believes that these multiple collaborations will help advance the user base of ifland, so far as Southeast Asia is concerned.
As per the newly inked deal, SK Telecom will be responsible for managing the serving criteria, along with building and functioning control. In the case of the associates, they will head the activities related to developing customized content, handling promotional activities and providing high-end customer backing.
For reaching out to the international metaverse space, SK Telecom is busily engaged in updating ifland with fresh features such as backing for languages like Indonesian, Malay, Hindi, and Spanish. Added to that will be the development of custom-made creative features to merge with the local taste.
SKT was instrumental in ifland’s international presence in November 2022 and was introduced in 49 countries around the world.
