"He was the wisest, most thoughtful, most generous person I've ever known," he added.

Garlinghouse went on to explain how his father played various important roles in his life.

Earlier this week I lost someone close to me. Death is abstract - until it is incredibly real. He was the wisest, most thoughtful, and most generous person I have known. I was incredibly fortunate to call him: - a friend - a mentor - a role model - an inspiration But most of all, I was fortunate to call him Dad. B. Kent Garlinghouse, Sr 1941 - 2026
