A more optimistic statement has come from the White House regarding the Clarity Act, which is closely followed by the cryptocurrency market in the US. Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the White House Digital Assets Advisory Council, spoke positively about the progress of the legislative process, stating that progress has been made in resolving the fundamental disagreements on the bill.
Witt stated that progress had been made on all of the various points of disagreement surrounding the CLARITY Act, and commented on the bill’s future, saying, “I feel quite good.” The statement came at a time of growing concern in Washington that the bill might struggle to pass the critical Senate vote.
Witt had previously stated that only a few key points of disagreement remained before the CLARITY Act. These included ethical provisions and regulations concerning stablecoin rewards and yield-generating products. Negotiations between the parties are reportedly ongoing on these issues.
