During the last hearing of Ripple vs SEC in court, the former asked to release the notices of meetings that experts think could boost Ripple’s defense

Ripple vs SEC lawsuit has been one of the hot talks in the crypto space since its beginning. With each hearing of the case, new developments were being made and taking other twists. Last time during the hearing of the case, Ripple filed an appeal in court to force the SEC to hand over the notes of a meeting held between Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and then SEC Commissioner Elad Roisman.

After that move, many experts and lawyers assumed it to be the endgame for SEC because the notes would have details about the meeting, which consisted of the testimony of Elad Roisman. On 9 November 2018, the meeting was held where the former SEC commissioner stated with a firm conviction that Ripple network’s XRP did not constitute any unregistered securities offering.

Now that was a bold statement made in favor of the Ripple network and could be used by Ripple’s defense against the SEC. However, SEC then opposed providing the notes to Ripple, claiming that the notes are protected through deliberative process privilege. Still, the commission handed over the notes to Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn.

Experts see this as Ripple’s moving towards winning the case against SEC as this report submission will give Ripple network’s defense a massive push.

Attorney Jeremy Hogan has kept an eye on the case for a very long time and has shared his views about the possible outcomes after the latest development. Jeremy said if the case now goes to trial with this development, then whatever the judge orders, the SEC is considered to be dead here already.
