Accusations of Document Forgery:

The ongoing legal battle between the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) and Craig Wright has taken a new turn as COPA accuses Wright of forging documents to substantiate his claim as the author of the Bitcoin whitepaper. In the latest court proceedings, COPA's lawyer, Philip Nathan Sherrell, asserted that Wright repeatedly presented false documents after failing to produce them on time for trial.

Brazen Lies Unveiled:

Sherrell, in COPA's twentieth witness statement, didn't mince words, declaring Wright's assertion of writing the Bitcoin whitepaper as 'a brazen lie.' According to Sherrell, this claim is supported by the submission of provably false documents on at least three occasions by Wright. These documents were brought forward after repeated delays in their production for the trial.

Expert Corroboration on Forgery:

Independent auditors and experts appointed by Wright himself, including Dr. Placks and Dr. Lynch, reportedly agreed on the inauthenticity of the forged documents. Dr. Lynch specifically corroborated findings that Wright had forged a second set of documents discovered on a "new drive." Moreover, a third set, written using LaTeX instead of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto's tool of choice, OpenOffice, was also deemed false.

Challenges to Late Document Submission:

Wright seeks to submit a fourth set of late documents, termed the "Application documents." However, Sherrell contends that these documents will be as inauthentic as the previous submissions, urging the court not to admit them. Jonathan Hough, KC, a senior COPA legal team member, emphasized that Wright's entire claim to being the Bitcoin inventor relies on these alleged forgeries.
