Krzysztof Gagacki, an apparent business partner of Rebase's co-founder, Edmond Truong, has filed a lawsuit against Truong, accusing him of stealing $2m from a joint crypto wallet and ousting Gagacki from the firm. The filing in a US District Court in California alleges breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, and trademark infringement. Gagacki claims to own 50% of the funds and says Truong refuses to provide him with the private keys to the digital wallet. Rebase, a non-fungible token project, has a $150m valuation from venture capital funding.
