Venezuela's President, Nicolas Maduro, announced the reorganization of the National Superintendency of Crypto Assets on March 17. A new board, headed by Anabel Pereira Fernández, will lead the restructuring to protect the country's citizens from the adverse effects of economic sanctions, among other reasons.
Joselit Ramirez, who oversaw crypto tax rules and Venezuela's Petro cryptocurrency, has been left out of the new board structure for the country's National Superintendency of Crypto Assets. Ramirez was reportedly arrested on corruption charges, although this has not been confirmed by official sources.
