It seems as if the tables have turned for the self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator as Craig Wright finds himself on the receiving end of a legal notice. US District Court issued an order to Wright on May 3 to provide ownership evidence of Bitcoin addresses which are over six years old, AMBCrypto reports.

The “sua sponte” order relates to the case of Dave Kleiman vs Craig Wright and eludes to the list of public Bitcoin addresses as of December 31, 2013, that have been claimed by Craig Wright. The order states that Wright filed an “unverified motion” identifying a number of “Bitcoin public addresses that he mined,” adding that in 2011 the ownership of “all his Bitcoin” was transferred to a blind trust.

Wright state that to produce a list of his Bitcoin holdings would be “unduly burdensome.” The order, however, says this is “not supported by facts. The document continues:

“In essence, he does not argue undue burden, he argues impossibility. The argument that Dr. Wright is incapable of providing an accurate listing of his current or historical bitcoin holdings was never presented in any of the prior hearings before this Court, when the Court was crafting the scope of discovery.”

Ira Kleiman, the plaintiff for the case, responded to the order asking Wright to produce the list of BTC he owned as od December 31, 2013, identify the transferred Bitcoin to the blind trust in 2011, and produce documentary evidence. Additionally, Wright must also identify current and past trustees and beneficiaries of the blind trust under oath, and allow for further disposition with reference to the ownership and control of the disputed BTC.

Wright is expected to “provide to Plaintiffs a sworn declaration identifying the name and location of the blind trust, the name and contact information for the current trustee and any past trustees, and the names and contact information of any current or past beneficiaries” prior to May 8, 17:00 ET.
