Ronin Network Ensures the Enhanced Gaming Experience
Previously, players had to leave the Axie Classic game client to complete transactions on the App. Axis is using their Ronin Wallet. This process was time-consuming and complicated for newcomers. Now, with Ronin Waypoint, these steps are eliminated and players can purchase Axis and Gems directly within the game, significantly reducing transaction time and improving user experience.
Strengthened Security with MPC Technology
Ronin Waypoint leverages Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology to create a new on-chain address for in-game transactions. This setup functions like a debit account linked to the main Ronin address, enhancing security by reducing the risk of unauthorized transactions. However, Ronin Waypoint does not grant Sky Mavis custody over user funds, maintaining player autonomy.
Broader Implications for Game Developers
For developers, Ronin Waypoint offers numerous benefits, including instant player onboarding, simplified account recovery, and gas-free transactions. Additionally, future updates will introduce player behavioural analytics and in-game marketplaces, further enriching the gaming experience.
Ronin Waypoint is live in Axie Classic, with integrations in other Ronin games and third-party applications expected soon. This innovation marks a significant step in making blockchain-based gaming more accessible, secure, and enjoyable.
