AltLayer Partners with Xterio Games to Launch Gaming-Focused Restaked Rollup

AltLayer, a prominent player in the blockchain space, has announced an exciting partnership with Xterio Games, Through this partnership, they will introduce an innovative gaming-focused restaked rollup. This groundbreaking initiative will tap into Eigen Layer’s shared security model, marking a significant milestone in the intersection of gaming and artificial intelligence (AI).

AltLayer and Xterio Collaborate on Restaked Rollup Solution

Xterio Games, a leading Web3 gaming platform, boasts an impressive track record with five AAA games and over 45 gaming partners. Co-founded by industry veterans Michael Tong and Jeremy Horn, Xterio is committed to integrating Web3 technology into gaming.

The collaboration between AltLayer and Xterio will see the launch of the Xterio chain, which will operate as a Layer 2 solution settling on Ethereum. Leveraging Optimism’s OP Stack and EigenDA for its Data Availability (DA) layer, the rollup will focus on web3 and AI-powered games, laying the foundation for an on-chain ecosystem around AAA games utilizing the $XTER token.

What sets the Xterio chain apart is its innovative approach as a “restaked rollup”. This unique structure introduces MACH, an Actively Validated Services (AVS) offering faster finality with economic security.

Given that Ethereum’s finality can take up to 13 minutes, MACH steps in to provide faster finality while ensuring economic security. Users can delegate ETH via LST/LRTs or stake ALT tokens through registered operators to earn rewards. The dual staking of economic collateral will attest to the validity of rollup states.
