POG Partners with Theta Labs to Scale 90’s Beloved Game into Web3

Theta Labs, a global blockchain pioneer for the media and entertainment industry and a leader in decentralized video streaming, is partnering with the iconic 90s collectible brand POG®, now reimagined as POG Digital. POG brings over 30 years of credibility and authenticity within the collectibles landscape, including partnerships with some of the greatest IPs of all time such as Disney, Marvel, Barbie, Pokemon, and more.

To bring back the childhood memories of the Millennial Web3 community, POG will launch a highly customized Theta Metachain subchain along with a custom TNT20 utility token. The 165 million Millennials and GenZs who collected Pogs worldwide are now able to lay their hands on hyper limited-edition POG collectibles that integrate digital and physical experiences. These items will be available exclusively via a Theta patented POG Collector platform.

POGCHAIN is specifically designed for the authentication, trade, and integration of physical and digital collectibles. Developers and POG Creators will access the Theta sandbox to build, authenticate, and deliver their collectibles on-chain. This will be inclusive of premium video content and exclusive experiences gated by Theta’s Patented Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology.

To Celebrate and Commemorate POG Digital’s first year in the web3 space, they are releasing their 1st Collector’s Box in 25 Years. With each of the 48 unique pieces of art being updated from the POG Archives and originating on either the Solana, Ethereum, or Bitcoin blockchains. Each Physical POG will link directly to its blockchain original for authentication. The launch of POGCHAIN is expected to take place in late 2023-2024 alongside the release of the POGGER Coin. It will act as the platform's unifying digital currency, driving transactions, boosting rewards, and enhancing user and creator engagement.
