Polygon (MATIC), a Layer-2 scaling solution, has gained traction in gaming after a significant rise in daily unique active wallets (dUAW) last month.

According to DappRadar, Polygon reported an increase of 53% in dUAWs in March, reaching 138,081, compared to February.

Polygon is now the second-largest gaming blockchain, with Boomland’s Hunters On-Chain leading the race after its testnet launch last month.

Hunters On-Chain has become one of the top five blockchain games regarding on-chain decentralized app (DApp) activity. Polygon was previously known for its DeFi DApps but is now gaining recognition as a gaming blockchain.

Wax Blockchain (WAXP) remains the leading gaming blockchain, with its dUAW surpassing that of Polygon by over 228%.

According to DappRadar, Wax had an average of 314,976 daily unique active wallets in March, representing an 8.11% decrease from the previous month. However, Alien Worlds dominated the Wax activity by 66%.

DappRadar noted that although on-chain gaming activity decreased by 3.33% in March, games still account for 45.6% of the DApp industry activity in Q1 2023.
