The integration brings $PYUSD into Polygon’s payments infrastructure, which combines wallets, fiat ramps, compliance tooling and stablecoin settlement through a single system. Businesses using Polygon can now access $PYUSD through the same infrastructure they use to accept deposits, move stablecoins and cash out to fiat.

Polygon said more than $2.6 trillion in stablecoin payments have settled on its network. Companies including Revolut and Stripe are already using Polygon for payments activity.

$PYUSD is issued by Paxos and backed by dollar denominated reserves. Paxos said the stablecoin is issued under a national trust charter supervised by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron said bringing $PYUSD into the Open Money Stack means businesses can take money in, move it across borders and cash it out through one integration with compliance built in.

Paxos Chief Revenue Officer Peter Jonas said $PYUSD’s native issuance on Polygon puts a federally regulated dollar backed stablecoin on one of the most active networks for stablecoin payments.
