Ondo Finance launches tokenized US stocks and ETFs on Solana

Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Global Markets on Solana, introducing hundreds of tokenized stocks and ETFs to the blockchain’s 3.2 million daily users, according to a Wednesday announcement.

Built to bring traditional public securities onto the blockchain, Ondo Global Markets enables investors to buy, sell, and trade over 200 tokenized US stocks and ETFs, with crypto rails enabling fast, secure, and scalable transactions.

After debuting on Ethereum and expanding to BNB Chain, the platform has arrived on Solana and is now the largest real-world asset issuer on the network by asset count.

“For the first time, Solana users can rest assured that they can buy tokenized stocks in size at brokerage prices, giving them peace of mind when trading onchain,” said Ian De Bode, President of Ondo Finance. “Ondo Global Markets’ liquidity model enables it to launch with hundreds of assets live on day one, with thousands more to come.”

Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth at the Solana Foundation, said Solana “is designed to support high-performance financial applications at global scale” and called real-world assets “an important part of that future.”

Ondo Global Markets has surpassed $520 million in total value locked and driven more than $5.1 billion in cumulative trading volume.
